Chiropractor & Certified Life Care Planner
Dr. Stefan Bulfon is a Canadian Certified Life Care Planner (CCLCP) and a chiropractor licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario. He brings over fifteen years of experience in the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of individuals with orthopedic injuries, chronic pain conditions, traumatic brain injuries, and complex health care needs. His clinical background provides a strong foundation in understanding the relationship between injury, functional impairment, rehabilitation potential, and the long-term supports required to optimize independence and quality of life.
Dr. Bulfon completed his Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario before earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2009. He subsequently completed certification in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture through McMaster University and obtained the designation of Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is also certified as a Canadian Certified Life Care Planner through the International Commission on Health Care Certification (ICHHC).
Throughout his clinical career, Dr. Bulfon has worked with individuals experiencing a broad range of injuries and impairments, including those arising from motor vehicle collisions, workplace incidents, sports-related injuries, and other traumatic events. His practice has emphasized evidence-informed rehabilitation, functional restoration, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the development of individualized treatment strategies based on each person's unique goals and circumstances.
Dr. Bulfon is the owner and Clinical Director of a multidisciplinary health care clinic, where he leads a team of rehabilitation professionals providing coordinated care for individuals with complex musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. His experience overseeing interdisciplinary rehabilitation services has provided him with valuable insight into the role of medical, therapeutic, and supportive services in promoting recovery, maximizing function, and addressing long-term care needs.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Bulfon previously served as Head Treatment Practitioner with Konkussion Inc., where he was involved in the assessment, treatment, and management of individuals who sustained concussions and mild traumatic brain injuries. This experience contributed to his understanding of the functional, cognitive, and rehabilitative considerations associated with brain injury.
As a Canadian Certified Life Care Planner, Dr. Bulfon applies his clinical rehabilitation knowledge and understanding of health care systems to the development of comprehensive life care plans. His approach incorporates review of medical documentation, rehabilitation considerations, functional outcomes, and accepted life care planning methodology to identify medically necessary goods, services, and supports required following significant injury or illness.
Dr. Bulfon is committed to ongoing professional development and remains actively engaged in continuing education related to rehabilitation, chronic pain management, traumatic brain injury, and life care planning.
