Registered Occupational Therapist and Canadian Certified Life Care Planner
Anita Petzold is a bilingual Registered Occupational Therapist and Canadian Certified Life Care Planner with over 15 years of experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy and a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Science from McGill University. Anita has successfully completed the Life Care Planning Program through the University of Florida and is designated as a Canadian Certified Life Care Planner by the International Commission on Health Care Certification (ICHCC). She has worked in both inpatient and community-based settings including in acute care at a large university teaching hospital in Montreal. She has published research articles, presented at conferences in the fields of stroke and occupational therapy and continuously pursues ongoing professional development.
Since 2013, Anita has been based in Ottawa, where she has specialized in conducting assessments of injured individuals for the legal community including both plaintiff and defense future cost of care analyses, medico-legal occupational therapy assessments, catastrophic situational occupational therapy assessments, housekeeping and home maintenance assessments and loss of services assessments. She has experience providing expert witness testimony in the field of occupational therapy. She previously also offered community-based rehabilitation services providing in-home assessments and treatments to individuals with varying neurological disorders, orthopaedic injuries, chronic pain, psychological disorders, injuries suffered through trauma or post motor vehicle accidents as well as case management services to catastrophically impaired individuals.
In her spare time, Anita enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and engaging in outdoor sports.
