Physiotherapist & Certified Life Care Planner
Lisa Martinez has worked as a physiotherapist for over 29 years. She completed a Bachelor of Science (Human Biology) from the University of Guelph in 1992, a Master of Science (Neuroscience) from the University of Calgary in 1995, and a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in 1996. Lisa has completed post-graduate education with advanced training in providing treatment for clients who have suffered neurological injuries, including head injury, spinal cord injury, and stroke. She also has training and clinical experience in the areas of concussion, vestibular rehabilitation, and lower body amputations.
Over her career, Lisa has worked in diverse environments, including hospital and community settings, as well as private practice. From 2015 until 2018, Lisa was a professor in the Occupational Therapy Physiotherapy Assistant program at multiple Ontario colleges and was also involved in the development and revision of their curriculum. Lisa also works as a treating physiotherapist, providing vestibular rehabilitation and neurological treatment.
Lisa obtained her Life Care Planning certification through the Institute of Rehabilitation Education and Training (IRET) and is board certified through the International Commission on Health Care Certification (ICHCC).
